Preserve today. Cherish forever.
What we create
A legacy film is a cinematic, professionally crafted record of a person's life — told in their own words. Their memories, wisdom, laughter, and love. Guided by thoughtful questions and shaped with care, it becomes something families cherish and return to for generations.

What families say
Real testimonials will replace these placeholders once your first films are delivered.
We kept saying 'next year.' After Dad's film, my sister and I spent an hour laughing through tears. It captured exactly who he is — his warmth, his humour, everything.
A son — Barrie, Ontario
Mum was nervous at first. Within fifteen minutes she was sharing stories I had never heard in forty years. I didn't know she had lived that much life.
A daughter — Fergus, Ontario
He was so gentle and unhurried. Mum forgot the camera was even there. That is the whole point, isn't it — to feel safe enough to be yourself.

Our story
Some of life's most precious memories aren't photographs. They're the stories only one person could tell.
Fare Thee Well was born from a simple belief: every life deserves to have its story told. Behind every film is a conversation built on trust, compassion, and genuine curiosity. We don't just record memories. We help preserve the voice, personality, and legacy of the people you love.
Friends since grade school — then, and now
Denis Craddock
Co-founderFergus · Elora · Wellington County · Guelph · K-W · Orangeville
Growing up in Orangeville and now raising his family in Fergus, Denis Craddock has built a career around one simple principle: people matter. Whether leading hospitality teams, serving his community through municipal council, or volunteering with local organizations, he has always been drawn to work that begins with listening.
Those closest to Denis would describe him as someone who makes people feel at ease. He has a natural ability to create genuine conversations, allowing others to share their stories openly and without judgment. It is a quality that has followed him throughout his life.
That gift for listening became deeply personal after Denis lost his father at a young age. In the years that followed, the stories shared by family and friends became invaluable. Every memory offered another glimpse into the man he wished he had known longer, leaving him with a profound appreciation for the importance of preserving not just photographs, but the stories behind them.
The idea for Fare Thee Well was born years later as Denis left his uncle's funeral. While looking through old photos and videos, he realized that what he treasured most weren't the images themselves, but the moments when he could hear a familiar voice, a laugh, or a story. He wished there had been more. That realization became the inspiration for creating a company dedicated to preserving life's most meaningful conversations.
Today, Denis approaches every interview with warmth, curiosity, and genuine compassion. His goal is never to simply ask questions, but to create an environment where people feel safe, comfortable, and truly heard. The result is a conversation that feels less like an interview and more like time spent with an old friend.
Away from Fare Thee Well, Denis is an avid reader, an active member of his community, and, above all else, a devoted father. He hopes the films created through Fare Thee Well become lasting gifts that allow future generations to know not only what their loved ones did, but who they were.
Dr. Greg Monaghan
Co-founderOrillia · Simcoe County · Barrie · Muskoka
Greg and Denis have been friends since grade school, growing up together in Orangeville. While their careers took different paths, they always shared the same values: family, compassion, and a desire to help people.
Greg is an emergency physician who spent years practicing medicine in the United States before returning to Canada to be closer to family. Throughout his career, he has guided people through moments of uncertainty with remarkable empathy and calm. Those who know him quickly recognize two qualities: an extraordinary ability to solve problems and a genuine compassion for the people in front of him.
When Denis first shared the idea for Fare Thee Well, Greg immediately saw its potential. His enthusiasm, professionalism, and relentless drive transformed an idea into a company. Denis often jokes that while he feels busy after a productive week, Greg has somehow accomplished three times as much. But behind that work ethic is someone who deeply cares about preserving stories with dignity and respect.
Outside of medicine, Greg's greatest passions are his family, sports, and the outdoors.
Every person who sits in front of our camera deserves to feel welcomed, valued, and at ease.
We work at your pace. There is no clock in our sessions — only the story, unfolding naturally.
We are not looking for polished answers. We are looking for real, heartfelt ones.
For us, this work has never been about cameras or editing software. It's about people.
Every interview is a privilege. Every story is unique. Every family places an incredible amount of trust in us, and we never take that lightly.
From the very beginning, our conversations have always returned to the same question:
How do we do this thoughtfully? Respectfully? In a way that truly honours the person sitting across from us?
Those questions continue to guide every decision we make.
We believe every life deserves its story to be told.
Our hope is that every family walks away with a memory we were honoured to help preserve for generations to come.
